The Quiet Leaders Launchpad

Mastermind Programme

The Quiet Leaders Launchpad Mastermind Programme is a 12-month online coaching and mentoring programme for developing leadership skills, confidence and action in the workplace.

Because it is a coaching programme as well as a training programme, it focuses on three areas over and above normal training programmes. These are the concepts of THINK, BE and DO.

We do “teach” but also enable delegates to know how to THINK like a leader, how to BEHAVE as a leader and what to DO as a leader and then go ahead and put that into practice.

Many courses will train skills, but do not focus on the growth of the individual outside of that training session and do not focus on changing behaviours and mindsets. This means that often delegates return to the workplace and just place their notes in a drawer and carry on the way they were.

So, on the Leaders Launchpad we focus on learning to understanding ourselves, the impact that we have in the business, the impact we want as a leader and the behaviour and activity changes that need to be made to achieve it.

We teach the skills, mindset and behaviours required of a leader then use the coaching arena to create action, accountability and movement towards the goals in a group setting. This adds in the dimension of peer support and accountability which takes the learning and action one step further.

This means that we can create confident, capable and motivated leaders who are an asset to their workplace and themselves.

We break down the learning elements into the 9 Accelerators for Impact and Influence and split these out into 6 key areas:

Focus and Direction

Here we look at the link between performance and motivation with the clarity of direction.  We look at how to create and understand what that is in an organisation, how to engage with it personally and how to bring that through to all members of an organisation.

  • Understanding Values and Vision
  • Creating a vision
  • Communicating
  • Inspiring and living the vision as a leader

Understanding and Creating Engagement

It is no good to have a team if they are not engaged with you, each other or the organisation so in this element we dive into how to engage with others confidently and effectively. We look at why communication is important, understanding communication styles, using the different behavioural approaches of people to motivate and create efficient and effective teams. We then encourage the delegates to take this to the workplace and implement the understanding and to adapt their behaviour for increased impact in the organisation.

Growing a Leaders Mindset

Thinking as a leader involves bringing oneself out of the weeds of daily routine. It means to think at a more strategic and tactical level but also to understand how your mindset will enable or disable those around you.

We focus on challenging the group mindset, recognising how we are thinking and what we need to do to take on a leveraged mindset that creates opportunity and space for the leader to be able to concentrate on areas that are most impact.

Growing your Positive Influence

Understanding the impact of yourself in the workplace is incredibly important for a leader (and anyone else too). So, we focus on becoming mindful and aware of how we show up in the business, what impact we have and whether it is what we and our colleagues would want.

We challenge behaviours in a supportive coaching environment to encourage a true understanding of how to show up for maximum positive impact in the business. We then enable the delegates to practice this in the workplace and be supported through this process.

Skills Development

As a leader we need to be able to grow those around us rather than be the star and the most “capable” person. This means that our skills of development and enabling others need to grow too. So, in this element we focus on creating a coaching style of leadership that enables others to step up, be confident rather than undermined and limited. We teach elements of a coaching mindset and work through several coaching tools that create a new way of working with the team. Again, we ask the delegates to take this back to the workplace to practice and report back into the group.

Systems

Experts in their field often find it hard to become the leader in terms of letting go and trusting others to do as good a job as they can. This means that often they find it difficult to let go. Another element to that is that often much of the information is still in our heads and it is important for a leader to be able to remove that knowledge and create organisational memory and ability for others to follow on from that knowledge. We help the delegates to become more open, pull their expertise out of their heads and to create systems and procedures that enable them to step back and allow others to shine.

"I am currently mid-way through the Leaders Launchpad Course for conservators, which Julie runs. Having never had any formal leadership training and never really thinking of myself as a leader, this course has been such a beneficial eye opener! It have learnt that about how to better understand those working around me and more importantly - myself, and how with some tweaks here and there I can make a far more effective impact. I would thoroughly recommend this course."

"I recently reached out to Julie to do some work with the company I work for. We started by asking her to conduct DISC assessments on each individual employee, she done this extremely well and got the results back to us very quickly. We then booked Julie for a group session to discuss everyone's results, this was absolute gold and really helped in knowing how to get the best from each individual employee. She has a very likeable character and is an extremely profession person. Highly recommend!!"

How This Mastermind Programme is Structured?

The first 6 months are split by element and by alternate coaching and training sessions twice a month for the first 6 months. This gives time to embed the learning and to start to put the ideas into practice in the workplace. The sessions are delivered live via zoom but are also recorded.

For the second 6 months we switch the focus to more implementation and coaching with a lighter touch on the learning new theory so that you can embed the new behaviours and mindset and move yourself forward as a leader.

Within all these elements, you, as a delegate can listen, debate and confer buy are also expected to join in and to play a part in group learning and open and honest conversations. This creates amazing results through trusted relationships, wider learning, collaboration and confidence.

The groups are not more than 12 people at a time which means that you get to build a tight peer group that you will learn from, give to and grow with.

The program is designed for those who want to grow and are coachable and challenged but this is always carried out with care and attention and in a fun and open way.
